Russian photographer Vadim Makhorov and a group of friends created a sensation on the Internet this week by posting great photos from the top of the pyramids of Giza, Egypt, violating the rules prohibiting the public onto them.
Makhorov and his colleague Vitaly Raskalov managed to escape the vigilance to capture images that have sparked reactions ranging from envy to outrage and concern for the care of these wonders. In an email sent to CNN, Makhorov explained his motives and apologized to Egypt and the world.
